dbOrbit support
Last updated: September 15, 2026
dbOrbit is the mobile database app for iOS and Android by Metronio Technologies. If something isn't working, or you have a question about your plan, a person reads every message sent to support@dborbit.io.
1. Contact support
- From the app — go to Settings → Contact support. The form attaches your app version and platform, and our reply goes to the email address you enter.
- By email — write to support@dborbit.io. Include your device, the dbOrbit version, the database engine and what you expected to happen.
Never send database passwords, SSH private keys or connection strings that contain credentials. We don't need them to help.
2. Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans are auto-renewing subscriptions billed by the App Store or Google Play. See Pricing for what each plan includes, and the Terms of Service for billing terms.
Change plan
In the app, open Settings and tap Upgrade (or Manage if you already subscribe).
Restore a purchase
- Sign in to the device with the Apple ID or Google account you subscribed with.
- Open Settings → Upgrade (or Manage) in dbOrbit.
- Tap Restore at the top of the Plans screen.
Cancel a subscription
Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period to avoid the next renewal. You keep your plan until the period ends.
- iPhone and iPad — open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions → dbOrbit.
- Android — open Google Play, tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → dbOrbit.
Your current plan in dbOrbit also has a Manage subscription button that opens the same screen.
Refunds
The App Store and Google Play process payments, so refunds follow their policies and we can't issue them directly. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com for App Store purchases, or through your Google Play order history.
3. Connection problems
- Check the network route — dbOrbit connects straight from your phone, so the database must accept connections from the phone's network. Add the address to your provider's IP allowlist, or reach a private server through the built-in SSH tunnel or a VPN profile on the device.
- Check the details — host, port, database name, username and password, and whether the server requires TLS.
- After the app has been in the background — iOS closes background network connections after about three minutes. dbOrbit reconnects when you return, and if a write was interrupted it tells you plainly instead of guessing whether it committed.
- Supported engines — see the engine list. If yours is listed and still won't connect, contact support with the error message.
4. Your data and privacy
There is no dbOrbit account. Connections, credentials and queries stay on your device. To erase them, go to Settings → Security → Erase all local data. To have data on our servers deleted as well, follow Delete your data. The Privacy Policy explains what is collected and why.
5. Report a security issue
Email security@dborbit.io rather than support. See Security for how dbOrbit protects credentials and how we handle reports.
